Our program
Buderim OSHC offers a fun and safe environment for primary-aged children. We aim to build a home away from home environment, allowing children to feel nurtured and supported. We believe in giving children a sense of agency by guiding and encouraging individuality.
Our core philosophy is reflected in our wonderful educators – a dynamic and highly qualified team providing warm, accepting and nurturing care options for our families.
No two days at the service are the same, and each session is jam-packed with activities. Whether it’s crafting, games or sports, our service is the perfect choice for keeping
kids entertained, safe and happy.
Operating Hours, Fees & Charges
During the term, each weekday the service opens at 6 am and closes at 6pm.
Unfortunately, children cannot be ‘signed in’ before 6 am due to licensing requirements (time displayed on the Xplor kiosk).
The service closes at 6.00 pm sharp. After 6 pm, a late fee will incur a $20 fee for the first 15 minutes and $1 per minute after that (per child).

After School Care: $28 (excluding CCS)*
* After 6 pm a late fee will apply at $20 for the first 15 minutes and $1 per minute after that (per child).
Medication
Parents must give all medication to an educator, who will administer the medication and ensure the proper storage. An educator will require a completed medication form and action plan (if applicable) before the commencement of care.
Daily timetable
Routines help children feel safe, develop life skills and build healthy habits. With that in mind, our Before and After School programs follow a structured program of activities. Here’s our daily routine:
Before School
6.00 to 7.00 am: Children’s Choice (free play)
6.00 to 8.00 am: Breakfast
7.00 to 8.00 am: Activity Time
8.00 to 8.30 am: Junior and Senior Group Time + Group Game
8.30 am: School Time
After School
3.00 to 3.30 pm: Roll Call and Quiet Time
3.30 to 4.00 pm: Afternoon Tea
4.00 to 5.00 pm: Activity Time
5.00 to 5.30 pm: Indoor and Outdoor Free Play
5.30 to 6.00 pm: Indoor Group Game
Early Departure from Before School Care
If your child is in Grade 2 to 6 and you would like to give permission for them to leave Before School Care sessions early (at 8.15 am), please complete the Early Departure from Before School Care form.
Signed permission lasts a year, and parents/carers must complete the form yearly.
Special Programs
Ready, Steady, Grow
To help smooth the transition from Kindergarten to the Buderim school community, we have developed a program for Prep children called ‘Ready, Steady, Grow’. The program aims to build confidence and develop skills and learning outcomes needed for the successful transition into school. We run this program each afternoon in the Year 1 undercover area from 4.00 to 500 pm.
Involved and Independent
Involved and Independent is a program we have designed to cater to upper primary children. It aims to support the development of autonomy and promote independence. The program is run in an outdoor environment that provides opportunities for self-discovery and child-directed learning.
Homework Club
We understand it can be difficult for many busy, working families to complete homework when children are in care. So, each afternoon a homework space is set up from 3.00 to 3.30 pm when the children first arrive – children have the option to complete homework after this time.
Other After School Activities
If your child attends other activities after school on school grounds – including sports programs on the oval – we will ensure children are signed into the service once completed.
