Our program

Our Vacation Care programs are a popular and well-loved part of our service. We put a lot of effort into developing activities appropriate and fun for junior and senior groups. Each program has a mix of in-service, incursions and excursion days to keep the kids entertained each holiday session.

We cater our excursions to specific age groups – junior (Prep to Year 3) and senior (Year 4 to 6) – to ensure each outing is fun and age-appropriate. Unfortunately, due to resourcing, we are unable to provide different care arrangements on excursion days, so if your child is booked in on an excursion day, they will need to attend that specific excursion. We are also unable to allow different age groups to swap between junior and senior.

One of the great things about us is we welcome all primary-aged children to come and join our service during the holidays – no matter what school children attend!

Operating Hours, Fees & Charges

Operating hours are from 6.00 am to 6.00 pm. Children cannot be ‘signed in’ before 6.00 am
due to licensing requirements (time displayed on Xplor kiosk).

The service closes at 6.00 pm sharp. After 6 pm, a late fee will incur a $20 fee for the first 15 minutes and $1 per minute after that (per child).

Schedule of fees for the different types of Vacation Care days:
In-service day: $61.00 (excluding CCS)
Incursion Day: $81.00 (excluding CCS)
Excursion Day: $91.00 (excluding CCS)

Medication

All medication must be given to an educator, who will administer the medication and ensure the proper storage. An educator will require a completed medication form and action plan (if applicable) before the commencement of care.

Food and Clothing

Breakfast is provided from 6.00 am until 8.00 am – a variety of cereals, toast or seasonal fruit will be available for each child. We also offer morning and afternoon tea. It’s a good idea to pack extra snacks in case, but this is optional.

Children must bring a nutritional lunch each day during Vacation Care (preferably ‘nut free’). The service can provide lunch if children do not have lunch, but a $5 charge will be applied to your account.

Children are encouraged to bring water bottles daily, especially on excursions.
They must wear sun-smart and appropriate clothing daily (school uniform discouraged). In addition, the following clothes items are NOT to be worn: singlets, midriff tops, thongs/sandals or clothing with inappropriate text/images.
Please bring a spare change of clothes.

Excursions

Please be aware that for each excursion, there is a time required to arrive at the service. This information is indicated on each program.

All children will be required to wear an excursion t-shirt for our risk assessment procedure, which we provide on the day.
Each excursion requires a signed permission form. Use the URL to complete the permission form – this needs to be done once for each Vacation Care session, i.e. sign all permission forms for the Spring Vacation Care program.
